UnMatched Candle Co. is a luxury candle brand founded in 2019, inspired by Black culture and designed to celebrate its beauty, creativity, and richness.

I’m Danielle—the creator and candle chandler behind UnMatched. My love for candles began with my desire to create warmth and ambiance at home, but it evolved into something deeper. While developing this collection, I wanted each scent to reflect elements of Black culture that feel familiar, affirming, and unapologetically us—through fragrance notes inspired by staples like Cocoa Butter and names rooted in hair textures such as 4C.

Too often, Blackness is framed through pain or struggle. UnMatched exists to shift that narrative. This brand highlights Black luxury through fragrance—soft, bold, intimate, and refined. Each candle is crafted to feel like an experience, not just a product.

Every candle is handcrafted in my home studio in Atlanta, Georgia. From the pouring of each candle to the packaging, logo, and website design, UnMatched is truly a one-woman creation. This brand has allowed me to fully tap into my creativity and purpose, and I hope you feel that intention in every burn.
